Special fixture for Knaresborough Rugby Club.
In their inaugural season Knaresborough Rugby Club under 17 team play a very significant fixture this weekend. When Knaresborough Rugby club was founded in 1982 there very first fixture was against Thornensians RUFC and now in the first year of running an under 17 team this Sunday at 11am the newly formed Boro Team will play a home fixture against Thornensians.
Mr Pete Roberts a representative of the teams shirt sponsors Skin Med will be in attendance along with Andrew Rock from the RFU. Team Coach Frazer Campey Said " The Under 17 team has shown steady improvement since pre season training in August and now look like a cohesive and competent team with the potential to show continuous improvement. .

Knaresborough 5 Stanley Rodillians 22
Knaresborough went down 22 points to 5 at home to a strong Stanley Rodillians team in their Yorkshire 5 league game. Despite their best efforts Boro were unable to overcome a Four tries to One deficit. The only Boro try was scored in the second half by Will Stevenson.
As of 1st November 2009 Knaresborough Rugby Club became Knaresborough RUFC Limited incorporated under The Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965.

Knaresborough Rugby Club get New Shirt Sponsor.
The official presentation of their new shirts from local company Knaresborough Engineering took place recently. The presentation was made on behalf of Knaresborough Engineering by the company's owner Mr Andrew Waller and accepted on the clubs behalf by club president Mr Barrie Stevenson. Mr Waller who's company make bespoke quality mild and stainless steel fabrication for many different clients across the manufacturing sector. Said "We are a local company looking to support a community based sports club and K.R.U.F.C. fits the profile exactly. With the prospect of a new ground and clubhouse being developed next year this is the perfect time to give them a helping hand". Responding for the Rugby Club first team captain Jamie Bird thanked Andy for supporting the club at such a critical time in its development and said " it has taken the club 26 years to get to where we are now and with the help of companies like Knaresborough Engineering we will get our new club house built .
